Traditional Indications: Sedative, spasmolytic, cold sores (herpes simplex 1), and antibacterial agent.
These actions are attributed largely to Melissa’s volatile terpenes (citronellal, citronellol, geraniol, caryophyllene, linalool, citral, and limonene), in addition to a phenylpropanoid known as eugenol. Its activity against cold sores is attributed more to its tannin constituents. Traditionally taken in a dose of 20 drops two times daily or as directed by your physician. Container: 2 Fluid oz./60 ml. (approx. two months supply) $25.00
